Start by cutting your burlap for your flower petals. You will need to cut 8 pieces at 20 inches. Then you will need to cut 8 pieces at 10 inches.
Using your flower board you are only going to use the two rings on the board. Using only the middle two rings start threading cable ties through the holes. I like to squeeze the cable tie to make it into a semi-U shape and then feed it through two holes that are side by side. Then close each cable tie but not all the way tight.
Now add your 10 by 20 mesh strips you already cut. Fold your 20 inches in half and give it a nice crease. Fold it in half again to make it look like a bandana then pull the edge side a little bit and then you accordion the two sides. You will then have like a little ladle. Take the end and slide it in a zip tie starting with the outside ring first. Secure your zip tie nice and tight
Repeat this process all the way out the outside. Be sure to cut down your excess zip ties when done.
Time to add in your 10 by 10 strips in the center. Start by adding it to the two holes that are the closest together first, then skip one and come back and do the ones in-between. Making the same petal as above but one less fold. Fold it to a triangle and pull it a bit on the edge and accordion-style it in. Finding the holes that are really close together add this one first to the zip tie, pull it tight. As you tighten it you will notice the pedal will perk up. Skip the cable tie beside that one and go to the next one.
Take a square and fold it in half just like before, crease the folded edge, now fold it again to be a small triangle, creasing the edge again. Bring the long side tips together. You will find that there is a little gap at the bottom and I like to secure this with a little hot glue and pinch it close. These will be added to the holes you skipped. Keep repeating this step until all the holes are filled.
Give your flower a little more texture by taking some of your petals on the second row and lifting them up and give the burlap a good stretch.
Using your pinecone add hot glue to the bottom and secure it to the center of your petals. Hold it nice and tight and hold pressure while it is sticking.
Take your green burlap and cut it into 10-inch strips. You will need a total of 3.
To make your leaves fold your square in half like a triangle, and fold again and accordion it in just like a petal.
Pick a spot anywhere on the board and use a zip tie to add your leaf. I added mine on the second row from the outside in. Then even your flower out and add another leaf to the other side. Then come back and add another leaf in between the two you just placed.
Locate the top of your board. It is the section that has the most holes! This is where you will add your pipecleaner to make your hanger.
