Take your 2- 21” deco mesh. Measure them out to 30” and cut about 9 of each, so you have a total of 18 strips of deco mesh.
Take your wreath frame and your strips of deco mesh and place them in the center of your workspace. You will take one piece of mesh and curl in the ends just a bit, not all the way. Once each side is rolled in to avoid fraying the ends, scrunch the mesh in the middle. Add mesh to each tie on the wreath frame.
Repeat step 2 and alternate the colors each time. Once you have finished the outer frame, make your way inward until the entire frame is filled with the deco mesh.
Once the wreath base is set, grab your wooden “Merry Christmas” sign and prep it to go on the frame. You will need your DAP glue, mounting squares, pipe cleaners, and wooden sign for this next step.
Put super glue on all four corners, on the back of the wooden sign. Glue on some mounting squares to each glue dot, then attach your pipe cleaners to each mounting square.
Next we will make a Terri bow with your 2- 2.5”, 4- 1.5” wired ribbons of choice, and an EZ Bow Maker. With your first 2.5” ribbon, measure out about a 9” tail, twist the ribbon at the middle, and make an 8” loop on each side and another 9” tail, creating an “X.” Take your next 2.5” ribbon and alternate with the previous layer, measure out another 9” tail facing upward, make another loop side (slightly smaller than the previous layer), and cut the tail. With your 1.5” ribbon, repeat the same process alternating from the previous layer of ribbon. Make sure the loops are continuously getting smaller with each layer.Continue this process until you use each of the 1.5” ribbon.
Once the bow is made, take a pipe cleaner, wrap around the center of the bow, and twist the middle nice and tight.
Next, attach the wooden sign to the wreath with the pipe cleaners. Center your sign towards the top of the wreath frame above the center. NOTE: if the back of your sign is visible, make sure there’s no stickers showing and that your sign is nice and clean.
Now it is time to attach the bow you made earlier. You will attach this bow at the bottom center of the wreath and below the sign.
Next, get your ribbon tail board, 2- 2.5”, and 2- 1.5” ribbons. Take each of the 4 ribbons and wrap it around the ribbon tail board 8 times. Slide the ribbons off the ribbon tail board and cut on each end, then cut ends into dovetails.
Take 1- 1.5” and 1- 2.5” ribbons and place them on top of each other. Fold the ribbon tails in half and pinch at the center. Push the tails outward creating a “V” shape and attach it to each wreath tie facing outwards.
Lastly, fluff out your bow and ribbon tails then cut the tails of your bow into dovetails. Voila! All done!
