Take your store-bought floral basket and look it over. Prepare it by removing any stray pieces of wicker, tags, or other items that won’t fit into your design.
Next, take your long red poppy floral stems and trim them if necessary to fit into the basket. Then, dip the tips into the hot glue pot and add them one by one into your design. Repeat the same process with the yellow floral sprays.
Continue repeating the same process of adding florals until you use up all your florals and your simple centerpiece looks as full (or as airy) as you want it to. Whether you’re using a hot glue gun or a glue pot, make sure you hot glue all your stems into place so they don’t fall out!
Now it’s time to add some ribbon to the design. Wrap a ribbon around the basket and tie a bow in front.
Finally, give your centerpiece a visual once-over. Fluff out any of the greenery or florals so that the entire design looks full and varied. Make sure your ribbon and bow are positioned the way you want them to be.

Tip: If you’re concerned that your ribbon might slip or shift, you can use your hot glue gun to add a dab of hot glue on the back of the design to keep the ribbon in place.
