Cut (9) 13” ribbon tails in each of the four ribbon colors. Dovetail the ends and create pairs with a 1.5” ribbon tail on top of a 2.5” ribbon tail in each pair.
Next, cut all your strips of mesh.
Curl the sides of the 21” jute mesh and scrunch the sides into the middle. Tie the mesh into one of the pipe cleaners on the outside of your wreath frame.Measure 10” of mesh, make a pouf, and tie the mesh into the next pipe cleaner. Continue this process all around the outside of the wreath as well as the inside of the frame to create a base for your design.
Make ruffles with the 30” strips of deco mesh. Curl the ends in toward each other, then squeeze the middle together to create a ruffle.Attach each ruffle to the wreath base using the same pipe cleaners you used for the poufs. Repeat this process for all of your 30” strips of deco mesh, alternating colors as you go.
Repeat the same process with the 18” strips of mesh and attach them with the pipe cleaners around the inside of your frame.
Take a pair of ribbon tails, pinch in the middle, and secure the tail with a pipe cleaner on the outside portion of the wreath frame. Alternate color pairs as you work around the wreath.
Prepare your sign by removing any tags or hangers and super gluing two mounting squares onto the back of the sign (one on each side/end). Insert a pipe cleaner into each mounting square and use them to attach the sign to the wreath.
Let's make a 6-layer simple half-bow.With your first 1.5” ribbon, make a 6” tail, a 4” loop, and a longer 12” tail that cascades down. Repeat the same basic process with each of the six ribbons, keeping the tails all the same but making each loop slightly bigger.Wrap a pipe cleaner around the middle, just below the loops, and twist it tightly to secure your half-bow in place then use it to attach the bow to the wreath just below the sign.
Insert the magnolia floral stems into the wreath design. Add one just to the left of the bow and one on the upper right part of the wreath. Secure the stems in place with one of the pipe cleaners.
Make another (smaller) half-bow. This one will only use the first 5 ribbons. The tails and loops will be slightly smaller than they were in the other bow. Wrap a pipe cleaner around it and twist it tightly to secure to bow. Then attach it to the upper left part of the wreath design with the pipe cleaner.
Dovetail the tails on the ribbons and fluff everything out to finish your wreath.
