Assorted wired ribbonsI prefer 1.5-inch ribbon for this project
Instructions
Once you cut the tag off the candy cane frame, start at the bottom of the frame and begin gluing the white yard to the frame to secure it in place.
Continue moving up the candy cane wreath frame, making sure to cover the wire of the frame the best you can. If you have some exposed wire, it's ok because the red yarn will cover it up.
Continue gluing the yard as you move up the frame - about every three or four turns. As you go around the curve of the cane, glue more generously so that the yarn stays in place.
After you have finished with the white yarn, go back and make sure the ends are glued in place so there are no exposed metal ends showing.
Now it's time to add your read yard. Twist it and glue in place about every 2 inches to give the cool candy cane effect. Once you are done with the yarn, it’s time to add the bow.
Make a bow with 1.5-inch ribbon in assorted prints for a fun accent. Tie off your bow and fluff it out.
Attach your bow to the neck of your candy cane wreath. Curl the dovetails of your bow, if desired, and be sure to tuck in the ends you tied off so that it doesn’t scratch the door.
