Learn how to make a festive Christmas Lantern Swag. It’s a simple project that will come together in under 30 minutes and add a glittery seasonal flare wherever you display it.
Trim the tip off the swag base and discard the main part of the base. Add your greenery pieces to both ends of it using the swag branches as twist ties. Cut off the pine cones.
Spread apart the stems of glitter beads and insert one stem from each end of the swag just like you did with the greenery pieces.
Let's make a bow. Measure out 10” tails with 6” loops with your first ribbon. Repeat the process with your 2nd ribbon, making your loops a little smaller (5.5-inches). Repeat the same process one last time with your last ribbon, making the loops 5”.
Secure your bow by wrapping a pipe cleaner through the middle and giving it a good twist. Use the pipe cleaner to attach the bow to the swag. Dovetail the tails.
Cut an 8” length of each of your three ribbons and stack them all on top of each other to make ribbon tails. Bundle the ends of the ribbons together and secure them with a pipe cleaner.Attach them to the top end of your swag. Spread the tails out and dovetail the ends. Repeat the same process for the bottom end of your swag.
Cut a length of ribbon about 24” or so. Run the ribbon through the swag and make a knot around the swag. Then tie the ribbon around the top of the lantern.
Add a few sprigs of frosted and silver leaves to the swag base. Secure each piece with a dab of hot glue on the end before inserting it into the swag base. Insert the pieces throughout the swag design.

Notes
If you twist your pipe cleaner tight enough, your bow will perk up.
