Step #1: These supplies come as a kit if you’d like to order them together. Cut 12” lengths of the white and green mesh, giving you 54 pieces total. Layer the mesh together, measure 12 inches, and cut. Check your twist ties on your work wreath and tighten any loose ones with your needle nose pliers by squeezing it at the base.
Step #2: Take three pieces of mesh, starting with two whites and green, and roll them up separately into curls. Put them together as a cluster and tie them into a twist tie along the outer ring of your wreath base.
Step #3: Continue adding mesh clusters of three, alternating the colors in your clusters. Start adding your clusters, continuing to alternate the colors, into the inner ring of the wreath base. Make sure your curls aren’t too tight. Turn your sign over and cut off the hanger. Add a dot of super glue near each corner and add your cable tie mounts.
Step #4: Insert a pipe cleaner into each mount and twist at the base. Add your sign on the right side of your wreath by securing the pipe cleaners onto the wreath base from the back. Add the green with gold specks ribbon on your EZ Bow Maker and measure an 8” tail and twist. Make two 6” loops and twist in the center then cut another 8” tail.
Step #5: Start the next layer of green and white striped ribbon and measure an 8” tail and pull it down the opposite side as the green and gold. Make two 6” loops and cut another 8” tail. Continue with a layer of the shamrock ribbon with two 8” tails and two 6” loops, following an “X” pattern as you add more layers of ribbon.
Step #6: Keep going with your bow adding another layer of the solid gold ribbon with two 8” tails and two 6” loops. Remember to twist the ribbon in the center before inserting it into your EZ Bow Maker. Finish the bow off with a layer of shamrock ribbon with a small loop and two 8” tails. Twist two green pipe cleaners together on the ends and pull your bow out. Secure the center of the bow with your pipe cleaner and twist tight. Repeat the bow-making process two more times for a total of three-layered bows.
Step #7: Add your bows into your wreath base by threading the pipe cleaners through and securing them onto the back. Insert the first bow at the bottom left of your wood sign. The next bow is at the top left of your sign, and the third will be in the center of those. Dovetail the ends of each ribbon tail.
Step #8: Use your shamrock ribbon and make five tails at 14” long. Dovetail the ends. Do the same with your gold ribbon making five tails at 14” long. Dovetail the ends.
Step #9: Cut ten 14” long tails of the green and white striped ribbon. Dovetail the ends. Cut ten 14” long tails of the green with gold specks ribbon. Dovetail the ends. Start with a layer of 2 ½” green ribbon, add green and white striped on top, then alternate by adding a gold and then a shamrock. Fold the layers in half and press. Pinch at the fold and add into each pine tine around the outer edge of the frame. Spread your tails out like a fan.
Step #10: Continue adding layered ribbon tails around the outer edge alternating the gold and shamrock ribbon on top. Cut another two sets of layered tails to add into the twist ties above and below the wood sign. If you don’t want to store your left-over ribbon, you can make a bonus bow! Start with the gold ribbon and make a 10-12” tail and make two 7” loops and cut the second tail in an “X” pattern.
Step #11: Repeat the same process with the green and gold speck making two tails and two loops with what you have left. Continue layering with your leftover green and white striped ribbon, making two tails and two loops. Use what you have from the gold and add another layer of two loops and two tails. Add a layer of two loops and two tails in the shamrock ribbon. Add one more center loop with two tails of the gold ribbon.
Step #12: Connect two pipe cleaners by twisting them together and sliding off your bonus bow. Secure each layer by twisting the pipe cleaners around the center. Fluff your loops and dovetail the ends and add this free gift for your customer!
