Grab your Christmas pick sprays and pull them apart to separate the sprigs from the main stem. They may not look like much when they’re compact, but watch them come to life when you spread them apart!
Prepare your grapevine base by inspecting it to see if there are any leaves or stems that stick out too far. If you see any, cut them off.
Take your larger glittery ball pick and put the pick with the bells and pine cones on top of it. Weave the sprigs of both picks together so they look like one intertwined cohesive piece. Use a zip tie (or pipe cleaner) to hold the two main stems together. If one (or both) stems are super long, go ahead and trim some length off.
Repeat the same process to get your second set of intertwined picks ready.
It’s time to make our bow! Take your first 2.5” ribbon and measure 13-inch tails with (4) 5.5-inch loops. Each side will have 2 loops and a tail. Use a pipe cleaner around the middle to hold it together. With your second 2.5” ribbon, measure 13-inch tails with (2) 5-inch loops. Remove the pipe cleaner from your first layer and add this layer on top of your first layer. Replace the pipe cleaner while you work on your 3rd layer. Your 3rd layer will use your first 1.5” ribbon. Measure 13” tails with (4) 4.5” loops. Add this layer to the top of your other layers. The 4th layer will be a little different. Use your second 1.5” ribbon to measure out 13” tails with two 4” loops AND a small 2” center loop.
Add an extension to the ends of your pipe cleaner to make a double-length pipe cleaner. Wrap it around your bow and twist to tighten. Dovetail the ends and fluff out your ribbon.
Insert your Christmas picks into your grapevine frame on the left side. Leave an open place in the middle to put your bow in position. Secure the picks in place with a dab of hot glue.
Add your bow to the wreath by pushing the pipe cleaners through the grapevine and twist at the back to secure.
Fluff out your bow and the Christmas picks so that it looks the way you want it to. You can also curl the ribbon tails under if you like that look (it does help keep the bottom Christmas pick arrangement visible). Your wreath with Christmas picks is now complete!
