This very simple lavender wreath uses a grapevine base and comes together in under 10 minutes. It’s a perfect everyday wreath that will look stunning on any front door.
Prepare the greenery by pulling them apart to give them more depth and make them look more realistic. Layer 3 of the lavender stems on top of each other and use a zip tie to secure the bunch together.Add another zip tie about 2 inches lower than the first one and trim the stems 2 inches below that.Repeat the same process with the remaining 3 lavender stems so there are 2 bunches of lavender. Attach your two bunches of lavender by overlapping their ends and securing them with a zip tie.
Prepare your grapevine base by inspecting it and removing any excess leaves or stems.
Now it's time to add lavender to the grapevine wreath.Zip tie the bunches to the wreath base and adjust the stems by bending the bunches to follow the curve of the wreath base. There’s no need for glue!
Now for the bow, take your ribbon and measure a 13” tail. Pinch the ribbon together in the middle, then create two 5.5” loops (one for each side of the bow). Don't forget to pinch and twist the ribbon in between each loop so that you always see the pretty side of the ribbon. Make (2) 6.5" loops and your final 2 loops at 7.5.” Measure your second 13” tail and cut your ribbon. Use a zip tie through the middle of the bow to secure it and trim any excess off the back. Then use another zip tie or a pipe cleaner to attach the bow to your grapevine wreath on top of the place where the two bunches of lavender meet in the middle.
Fluff out your lavender and bow and adjust as needed. Dovetail the ribbon tails or leave them as they are and curl them under based on your preference.
