Start with a clean, dry plastic pumpkin. If your pumpkin has a glossy finish, lightly sand it to help the Mod Podge adhere better.
Cut and Separate Napkins:
Choose a napkin design that matches your theme. Separate the printed top layer from the rest and cut it into smaller sections for easier placement.
Apply Mod Podge:
Brush Mod Podge onto a small section of the pumpkin. Gently press the napkin piece onto the glued area, smoothing it out with your fingers. Repeat until the entire surface is covered.
Seal the Napkins:
Once your pumpkin is covered and dry, gently brush a top coat of Mod Podge over the napkin to seal it in place. Let it dry completely.
Make Your Bow:
Create a layered bow using 2.5" satin ribbon, 1.5" textured ribbon, patterned ribbon, and a fun trim like mesh or lace. Use a pipe cleaner to secure the center.
Attach the Bow:
Use hot glue to attach your bow to the top of the pumpkin. Make sure it’s centered and full.
Finishing Touches:
Fluff your bow loops and tails, trim ends on a diagonal or dovetail, and make sure everything looks polished.
