🛒 Supplies You’ll Need

  • Floral Foam – I prefer the crunchy green kind
  • Black Container – Found at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or HomeGoods
  • Orchids (4 Stems) – SKU #459034 from Michaels
  • Large Leaf Bundle – SKU #1396415 from Hobby Lobby
  • Fern Picks (6 Pieces) – SKU #763407 from Michaels
  • Spongy Moss – SKU #135038 from Michaels
  • Hot Glue Sticks
  • Wire Cutters

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep Your Container & Foam

Start by placing your floral foam inside your container. This will hold everything in place. If needed, secure it with a little hot glue.

Next, grab your spongy moss and gently place it over the foam. No need to glue this part down just yet—our floral stems will help keep it in place as we go.

2. Add the Orchid Leaves

Take your large leaf bundle, trim it close to where it’s wired, and hot glue it to the center of the foam. This will act as the base for your orchids. Since these leaves are wired, you can shape them to mimic real orchid leaves for that natural, high-end look.

3. Shape & Place Your Orchids

Now for the fun part—the orchids! 🌸

  • Grab your four orchid stems and start shaping them by running your fingers along the wire. This helps them curve naturally.
  • I like to have three orchids curved differently to add variety.
  • Stick the first orchid in the foam as your focal point.
  • Trim the second orchid a little shorter and place it at a different height.
  • Add the last two orchids, making sure to angle one towards the back for dimension.

The key here is to layer and stagger the heights to create a realistic, natural look.

4. Fill in with Greenery

To finish off the arrangement, add in your fern picks. These will help fill out the base and add a soft, organic feel.

  • Take each fern piece, push it up to fluff it out, and glue it around the edges of your arrangement.
  • Tuck one under the orchid leaves for extra dimension.
  • As you glue, the moss will naturally start to adhere to the foam, securing everything in place.
