DIY Fall Floral Arrangement

This project is beginner-friendly, affordable, and versatile—perfect for a dining room table, entryway, or to sell at a craft show.

Supplies You’ll Need

All supplies are from DecoExchange unless otherwise noted:

  • Fall Floral Spray – HA1885 WSB (DecoExchange)
  • Long Yellow Spray – HA1584CW (DecoExchange)
  • Fall Filler Bush – 81834 (DecoExchange)
  • 1.5” Ribbon – CL1550YF (Discount Dealers)
  • Wire Cutters
  • Scissors
  • Zip Tie
  • Hot Glue Gun (optional for extra hold)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep the Base

Start by fluffing your fall floral spray. This will be the foundation of your arrangement, so fan out the stems to create width and shape.

2. Add the Yellow Spray

Cut apart the long yellow spray into smaller sections and layer them into your base. Place them at different heights for a natural look.

3. Fill with the Fall Bush

Use pieces of the fall filler bush to add volume and texture. These stems help break up colors and give your arrangement that “just gathered” feel.

4. Create the Bow

  • Take the 1.5” ribbon and make a simple bow with 2–3 loops on each side.
  • Secure with floral wire or a zip tie.
  • Trim the tails at an angle for a clean finish.

5. Attach the Bow

Nestle the bow into your arrangement slightly off-center. This adds movement and gives the piece a polished, boutique look.

6. Final Touches

Check your arrangement from all angles, adjusting the sprays so the colors are evenly distributed. Add a dab of hot glue to secure stems if needed.

Design Tips from Coach Melissa

  • Mix Heights: Taller sprays in the back create depth.
  • Balance Colors: Spread yellows and oranges evenly throughout.
  • Keep It Flat: If selling at craft shows, make a version that sits nicely in baskets or on tables for easy display.
