What You’ll Need:

  • Pipe cleaners
  • Thin wires for sign
  • 6″ x12″ metal sign
  • 10″ wide foil green mesh
  • 10″ thin foil green mesh
  • 2.5″ Shamrock Ribbon
  • 2.5″ Black and White Stripe ribbon
  • 4″ black and white plaid ribbon
  • 2.5″ black shamrock ribbon
  • 1.5″ green shamrock ribbon
  • ⅞” white ribbon
  • Clover bush

Step-by-Step Guide:

Print the steps and supply list from the “recipe card” below.

  1. Prep your sign
    • Take your 6×12 St. Patrick’s metal sign (DecoExchange) and make holes to the side and add 2 thin wires (Discount Dealers and Crafts) to the holes.
  2. Prep your base
    • Start with a 14” wire frame (Dollar Tree)
    • Take 12 x green pipe cleaners (Hobby Lobby) and add it around the wire frame.
    • Take a 10” wide foil green mesh (RE134106, DecoExchange) and cut 6 x 20” pieces.
    • Take a 10” thin foil green mesh (RE130106, DecoExchange) and cut 6 x 20” pieces.
    • Take the 10” wide foil green mesh (RE134106, DecoExchange) and make ruffles by pinching the ends together.
    • Add the ruffles to the outside ring of the wire frame using the pipe cleaners.
  3. Add in your ribbon tails
    • Take a 2.5” shamrock ribbon (DecoExchange) and cut 6 x 14” pieces.
    • Take a 2.5” black and white stripe ribbon (Sam’s Club) and cut 6 x 14” pieces.
    • Dovetail the ends.
    • Layer the 2 types of ribbon pieces in pairs with the shamrock ribbon on top.
    • Add the ribbon to the ruffles using the pipe cleaners.
    • Trim the pipe cleaner ends.
    • Fluff out the ribbon tails.
  4. Add the rest of the mesh
    • Take the 10” thin foil green mesh (RE130106, DecoExchange) and make ruffles by pinching the ends together.
    • Add the ruffles to the inside ring of the wire frame using the pipe cleaners.
  5. Add in your ribbon tails and greenery
    • Take a 2.5” shamrock ribbon (DecoExchange) and cut 6 x 14” pieces.
    • Take a 2.5” black and white stripe ribbon (Sam’s Club) and cut 6 x 14” pieces.
    • Dovetail the ends.
    • Layer the 2 types of ribbon pieces in pairs with the shamrock ribbon on top.
    • Add the ribbon to the ruffles using the pipe cleaners.
    • Take a clover bush (13523CM, Liberty Floral) and cut 6 pieces.
    • Add the clover bush pieces to the inner ribbon tails using the pipe cleaners.
    • Trim the pipe cleaner ends.
    • Fluff out the ribbon tails.
  6. Add in your sign
    • Take your sign and add it to the top center of the wreath using the wire.
  7. Make and add your bow
    • Take a 4” black and white plaid ribbon (DecoExchange) and make a bow with 2 loops.
    • Take a 2.5” black shamrock ribbon (DecoExchange) and make a bow with 4 loops.
    • Take a 1.5” green shamrock ribbon (DecoExchange) and make a bow with 4 loops.
    • Take a ⅞” white shamrock ribbon (RC500527, DecoExchange) and make a bow with 3 loops.
    • Layer your bows.
    • Secure your bows with a green pipe cleaner.
    • Fluff out your bow.
    • Add your bow below the sign using a pipe cleaner.
    • Dovetail the ends.
