HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN EASTER BUNNY GRAPEVINE WREATH

Step 1: Let’s begin with our big bow. Grab your EZ Bow Maker and your 1-1.5” Easter Egg themed ribbon. Measure out about 12” to create your first tail. Give it a pinch and twist before sliding into your EZ Bow Maker. Pull tail down. We’re going to measure our first loop out to 7”. Create 3 loops on each side – total of 6 loops to begin this layer of bow.

Step 2: Before we finish up with this layer, create 4 more loops – 2 on each side, smaller in size this time. Measuring about 6” for this layer of your bow. Maintain that pinch, twist and loop method as you continue to pull through the center of your EZ Bow Maker.

Step 3 To finish the bow, create a 3rd layer of loops, 1 on each side now – 2 more to add to your total. Pull the ribbon down to create a matching tail and cute from your spool.

Step 4 Grab a pipe cleaner, fold it in half, and carefully slide your bow off the EZ Bow Maker, maintaining it’s form. Place your pipe cleaner over the top of your center of bow, pulling it nice and tight from the underside. Begin to twist to secure your bow’s shape. Fluff and fancy your loops so they are facing the direction you want. Set aside.

Step 5: Next determine placement of your cute little Easter Bunny on your grapevine. Rest her in the center of your grapevine by eyeballing it to get a good visual.

Step 6: Grab a pick and add some hot glue to the end before you insert into the bottom of the bunny’s foot. Be sure to push it up into the foam well into the bunny’s leg to add security. Trim excess pick and work it down into the grapevine. Be extra careful not to snap her leg or the pick as you work it through. Add some hot glue as well.

Step 7: Using a pick machine and a pipe cleaner, you can further secure the bunny on the inside of the side of her head right next to her ear. Be careful not to poke all the way through. Keep the pipe cleaner behind her ear as you attach it to the grapevine with needle nose pliers, working it through the guts. Twist to secure. Hot glue her ear so it stays on top of the pipe cleaner and hold it in place as glue dries.

Step 8: Bring bow back over and determine where to add on your grapevine. Play with placement. Once happy, work your pipe cleaner through the guts of your grapevine on the lower right, under your bunny. Pull it nice and tight.

Step 9: Create a smaller bow, repeating the same steps from above to make a double layer bow with 6 total loops. The first 4 loops, 2 on each side should be 6” loops. The 2nd layer of this bow should be 2 more loops. 1 on each side, with loops of 5 1/2”. Pull enough ribbon for your 2 tails and cut. Secure it with a pipe cleaner in the center.

Step 10: Add to your grapevine on the top left above the bunny’s head by working your pipe cleaner through the guts. Fluff your loops and make it extra fancy.

Step 11: Working as a whole for this wreath, let’s begin to add our greenery, focusing our eye to flow up from the bottom right of the bow, around, and down to the left side, creating a circular movement of the wreath.

Step 12: Grab your Wired Greenery Bundle and separate it into 2 sections – one larger piece and smaller. Spread it out and curl your pieces to give them some character. Tuck the larger section back behind your large bow, working into your grapevine and hot gluing in place on the right. Repeat with the smaller piece poking from the left side of the large bow on the bottom.

Step 13: Repeat step 12 with your 2nd Wired Greenery Bundle. Place the larger section on the opposite side of the smaller bow creating an angled gap. That means your bigger piece on the left and the smaller piece on the right of the smaller bow up top.

Step 14: Let’s begin adding in our florals that will tie in with the pastel colors found in her cute little dress. Grab your Yellow Floral Spray and divide into 3 sections to work into the guts of your grapevine, adding one on each side of the top bow. Be sure to fluff your florals so they look fabulous. Add your 3rd section on the left of your bow on the bottom. Be sure to add hot glue to your pick ends as you insert.

Step 15:  Grab a 2nd Yellow Floral Spray and divide into 3 sections again. Work a smaller piece by the center of the bow to help it pull the yellows found in the bow’s ribbons. Add another section up a little higher on the right side as well.

Step 16: Work in your Blue Floral Spray by repeating the steps to divide into 3 sections. Adjust the wires to your liking before inserting in your wreath up top with your yellows. If it is difficult to work into your wreath, add a pick on the end with a little bit of hot glue to ease it in.  Add blue florals on both sides of the bows so it carries throughout your wreath. They will poke out here and there, but that is just fine. It adds dimension and depth.

Step 17:  Last but not least, let’s add some pink florals. This gem of a wreath from Home Goods is perfect because it is covered in pink floral sprays. Unwind at least 4 from the wreath’s base and y’all… just like that, you have pretty pink sprays to add.

Step 18: Before you add the pink sprays, make sure you spread them out to look extra fancy. Pay attention to the sizes of them. Focus on using the bigger sections on the bottom of your wreath as you add them. Weave them in amongst the other florals to give it a more natural look. Repeat as you add your remaining pink floral spray pieces up top as well.

Step 19: Next, add some Foam Easter Eggs by inserting a shish kabob stick into them on one side. Don’t forget your hot glue. Trim excess of the stick and work into the guts of your Easter Bunny Basket. Have some standing up a little taller than the others to make sure they are seen.

Step 20: If you have any extra florals that you want to work into your piece, do it. Play with placement and size. Just have fun with it!

Step 21: Don’t forget to trim your ribbon tails so they have a nice dovetail look. Make any adjustments you see fit by shifting ribbons loops here, tails there, and florals all about. Just make sure you love it!
