Candy Cane Door Hanger Variations
If you don’t have extra garland pieces in your stock, you can wrap candy canes with colorful tape, ribbon, or chunky yarn.
You can also create entirely different themes using this same tutorial. Swap out the picks and sprays to create themes like:

Equipment
- 1 Hot glue
- 1 scissors
Materials
- 1 23" Foam decorative candy cane
- Flocked greenery
- Pink evergreen garland
- Cookie sprays
- Lollipop picks
- Curly candy picks
- Marshmallow picks
- Whimsical ball sprays
- Zip ties
- 1 roll 2.5″ wired ribbon
Instructions
Prep your base.
- Start with a pink evergreen garland.
- Add some flocked greenery to the garland using zip ties.
Add in your picks and sprays.
- Add in a few cookie sprays to the design.
- Add in some lollipop picks.
- Secure them with a zip tie.
- Add in a few marshmallow picks using a zip tie.
- Add in some curly candy picks.
- Add in some whimsy ball sprays.
- Secure them with a zip tie.
Make and add your bow.
- Take 1 ribbon and make a bow with 4 loops.
- Secure the bow with a pipe cleaner.
- Fluff out your bow.
- Add the bow to the center of the design using a pipe cleaner.
- Curl the ends.
Add your candy cane.
- Add your large 23” foam candy cane to the back of the design using a pipe cleaner.
- Add a marshmallow pick to the center of the bow using glue.
