Nothing says an American vacation like a good old fashioned road trip, y’all! If you are looking for a fun and gorgeous summer project, you’ll love this fun summer road trip inspired wreath.

Y’all, this oval grapevine wreath has all the ingredients you need for great door décor. I use a multi-ribbon bow, beautiful florals, and a cute sign to bring this whole creation together. And, just like the sign says, you get to see how I “Enjoy the Ride!”

Making a Fun Summer Road Trip Wreath

There is nothing like a good summer road trip to lift the spirits. You get to see the country, visit family and friends, and blare the tunes while singing at the top of your (questionably talented) voice. My favorite part is loading up on the (questionably healthy) necessary road trip snacks. In this video, I show you how to bring the spirit of all this fun right to your front door!

Now y’all I know that our travel is limited right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t reminisce about epic past road trips and make plans for ones we will take in the future. It will give us something to look forward to and, in the meantime, we can craft as a way to enjoy the ride!

This video shows all you need to know in order to make this wreath, including the best way to add in florals and how to attach the sign. But if y’all need some more tips and tricks for sign attachment, we have a blog post that shows you four simple ways to get that sign right where you need it to be.

DIY Summer Road Trip Inspired Wreath

If you are looking for a fun and gorgeous summer project, you'll love this fun summer road trip inspired wreath.
Yield: 1 wreath

Instructions

  • Get your grapevine wreath base, wreath sign, pipe cleaners, and staple gun.
  • Starting with the wreath sign, flip it over, use a staple gun to attach the pipe cleaners across the top.
  • Attach sign to the top of the grapevine wreath base at a slight angle. On the bottom of the sign, hot glue it to the base. Set aside to dry.
  • Then take your 10" deco mesh and cut a 20" strip, curl ends a little then scrunch to the center. Add the mesh to base. Add your quick bow on top of the mesh and under your sign on the left side.
  • Arrange and fluff out the bow. Trim ends into dovetails.
  • With pliers or stem cutters, trim the ends of your florals. You can cut them in to smaller pieces. Before you add to grapevine, curve the stems so the florals don't touch the grapevine.
  • With the hot glue gun, add florals around and in the bow. This will help make the wreath look bigger.
  • Do the same process with the greenery, so that your wreath looks fuller.

This bright and beautiful wreath is perfect for your summer door or to add to your summer line of products. It’s the best combination of gorgeous ribbons and breezy flowers. I know things are tough out there, but I hope you’re still finding some awesome ways to enjoy the ride!
