How To Make This Halloween Door Hanger
This do-it-yourself Halloween Witch door hanger is really easy to make and takes only a few supplies. I’m spilling all the beans on how to make this door hanger so you can make it too!

Before I give you the list of supplies and detail the process for making this wreath, I thought a brief video tutorial might be helpful. You can watch it to learn the process or follow along as you make your own Halloween door hanger!
DIY Witch Door Decoration Supply & Tool List
Here’s everything you’ll need to make this Halloween door hanger. I’ve included links to items to help you find them faster and easier. Note: these links may be affiliate links.
- Boots Door Hanger – You can buy these painted or you can buy one unpainted by shopping at (Crafty Tessie on Etsy) and add your own twist to it
- 1 roll of 10″ deco mesh
- 15 pipe cleaners (or Tinsel Ties)
- A cutting mat
- A rotary cutter
- (1) 4″ Halloween ribbon
- (1) 2.5″ Halloween ribbon
- (4) 1.5″ Halloween ribbons
- EZ Bow Maker
- A glue gun and hot glue.
- Scissors
Make Your Own Witch Door Hanger Instructions
The process for making this witch legs door hanger is simple. In fact, it’s so easy that you can put this entire witch door decoration together in just minutes.
- Start adding 9 pipe cleaners to the top of the door hanger. 5 should go across the top and 4 across the bottom.
- Hot Glue the pipe cleaners in place.
- Take your 10″ mesh and cut 9 strips (using your rotary cutter) at 30 inches long.
- Take one of the 30″ strips, roll the ends of each inside once or twice and then ruffle the mesh.
- Add one of the 30″ ruffles into each pipe cleaner on the frame.
- Now create one normal wreath bow for the top center of your door hanger and attach.
- Next, make two terri-bows for each side of your door hanger and attach them to the frame.
- Once your bows are attached, fluff out the bows to make sure they look their very best.
- Trim and dovetail all the ribbon tails on each bow.
Hang the door hanger on your front door to enjoy it, or list it for sale!

Instructions
- Start adding pipe cleaners to the door hanger. 5 will go across the top and 4 across the bottom.
- Add a dab of hot glue to hold the pipe cleaners in place.
- Cut 9 strips out of your 10″ mesh, each 30 inches long.
