Part of what makes this design so eye-catching is the premium foil mesh that covers the wreath frame. Here’s everything you need to know in order to make this design.

Deco Mesh Fall Wreath Instructions

Follow along as I guide you through the process step-by-step of making this adorable fall deco mesh wreath!

Step 1

Begin by taking your foil mesh and tying one end into one of the pipe cleaners on the inner ring of your wreath frame. Then, make 10” poufs all the way around the wreath frame and tie off the end in the last pipe cleaner.

Step 2

Repeat the same process around the outer ring of the wreath frame, but make the outer poufs 12”.

Step 3

Take your strips of mesh and make ruffles out of them. Alternating colors, insert one ruffle into each pipe cleaner on the inner ring of the frame as you work your way around.

Repeat the same process around the outer ring of the frame.

Step 4

Take three of your 2.5” ribbons and your ribbon tail board and cut 6 ribbon tails for each color.

Do the same thing with your 4” ribbons.

Step 5

Dovetail all the ribbon ends and pair up your ribbon tails. Each pair should have a 4” ribbon tail and a 2.5” ribbon tail.

Insert one pair into each pipe cleaner on your wreath frame (inner and outer rings). Make sure to alternate color and pattern combinations as you add ribbon tails.

Step 6

If you haven’t prepared your foam turkey yet, prepare it like you would prepare any sign to attach to your wreath. Glue mounting squares onto the back and insert pipe cleaners into the mounting squares. For this sign, you only need two mounting squares.

Once the glue has dried, use the pipe cleaners on your foam turkey to attach it to the left side of the wreath frame.

Step 7

Let’s make a simple bow.

Take your first 2.5” ribbon and make one long tail to the bottom, two 6” loops, and one shorter tail towards the top.

Repeat the process with your second 2.5” ribbon.

And again, with your third 2.5” ribbon.

Next, take your first 4” ribbon and follow the same process, but make both tails long, so they hang down.

Repeat the process again with your second 4” ribbon, making two long tails.

Take your third 4” ribbon and add one final layer with two long tails.

Grab a zip tie and wrap it around the center of your bow. Cinch it tight.

Take a long pipe cleaner and wrap it around the center of your bow, then use it to attach your bow to the bottom of the turkey wreath.

Step 8

Take bolt cutters and cut large sections of foil leaves off the foil magnolia leaf wreath.

Step 9

Attach one large foil magnolia leaf section to the pipe cleaners in the outer ring of the wreath on the bottom left side. Trim off the excess stem.

Take the second large portion of foil magnolia leaves and attach it to the top right section of the turkey wreath, using the pipe cleaners in the outer ring of the frame to hold it in place.

Step 10

Trim pieces off of your feather stems and add them into the wreath design, using hot glue to secure them in place.

Fluff everything out, dovetail any ends of ribbon you missed, and your wreath is complete!

I hope you love this design and try making it, too. It’s a simple design that looks much more complex than it is.
