Coach Jordan is here to show us how to take an arrangement you can buy in a store and transform it into a gorgeous simple centerpiece that anyone can make! This simple but stunning centerpiece will add that perfect everyday pop of color to the decor anywhere in your home.

Hey, y’all! We’re back with another centerpiece tutorial. We’ve made several different holiday centerpieces, but recently we’ve been showing you how to make everyday centerpieces and the response has been huge.

I love the ease that a centerpiece brings to decorating! Just the act of placing a centerpiece on a table or mantle can completely transform the ambiance of the room and tie all your other decorations (especially for a holiday) together.

It’s kind of like magic…for adults. 😉

Have you seen our other centerpieces? We have one for Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, and even Christmas. We also have a beautiful everyday spring centerpiece you’ll love.

Today, Coach Jordan is showing us how to take a floral basket he picked up and turn it into a quick and simple centerpiece that’s perfect to use from spring until fall (winter too, if you wanted to!).

As usual, he’s adding his own special style of simplicity that he’s known for to create a final product that looks much harder to create than it is. And Coach Mel and a few other creatives joined in for fun too!

Are you ready to dive into this new simple centerpiece project?

How To Make A Simple Centerpiece

You will only need a few supplies and about 15 minutes to create a centerpiece you’ll be proud to display.

Supplies Needed

Here’s everything you’ll need to complete this project. I have included links to some items to make them easier to find.

  • Floral arrangement in a basket (we removed lemons that came in ours)
  • 1 greenery spray (with red and white florals)
  • 1 floral spray (with white florals)
  • 2 floral sprays with yellow flowers
  • 3 long floral sprays with red Poppy flowers
  • (1) 2.5” ribbon (we used a red gingham print)
  • Scissors
  • Bolt cutters
  • Stem cutter
  • Hot glue and glue gun (or glue pot)

Instructions

I think you’re going to be blown away by how quick and easy this project is! Here’s your step-by-step guide.

Step 1

Take your store-bought floral basket and look it over. Prepare it by removing any stray pieces of wicker, tags, or other items that won’t fit into your design.

Step 2

Next, take your long red poppy floral stems and trim them if necessary to fit into the basket. Then, dip the tips into the hot glue pot and add them one by one into your design.

Repeat the same process with the yellow floral sprays.

Step 3

Continue repeating the same process of adding florals until you use up all your florals and your simple centerpiece looks as full (or as airy) as you want it to.

Whether you’re using a hot glue gun or a glue pot, make sure you hot glue all your stems into place so they don’t fall out!

Step 4

Now it’s time to add some ribbon to the design.

Wrap a ribbon around the basket and tie a bow in front.

Step 5

Finally, give your centerpiece a visual once-over. Fluff out any of the greenery or florals so that the entire design looks full and varied. Make sure your ribbon and bow are positioned the way you want them to be.

Tip: If you’re concerned that your ribbon might slip or shift, you can use your hot glue gun to add a dab of hot glue on the back of the design to keep the ribbon in place.

An Everyday Simple Centerpiece That Everyone Will Love

That’s it y’all! We wanted to show you how easy it is to take a floral arrangement you can buy anywhere (hopefully on sale!) and turn it into your own unique creation to display, give as a gift, or sell.

Centerpieces sell well in online shops because they make decorating incredibly easy. Add this simple centerpiece to your spring or summer sales inventory. Since it’s so quick and easy to make, you can quickly stock up on an item that customers will pay a good amount of money for.

Feel free to take this basic design and change the color and floral options to make it uniquely your own. You can even take this same process and adapt it for any holiday or season. It would also make a terrific housewarming gift.
