One of the most common questions we get is, “How do you mix and match ribbon colors and patterns?”.  Well, we show you how to choose ribbon colors for your projects.  But, to make it even easier, we went ahead and mixed and matched colors and patterns to create some ideas of great summer colors!

There are a few themes that are perfect for the summer months, we’re sharing some of our favorite pairings.

How To Pick Summer Colors For Seasonal Projects

Our summer color palette suggestions can best be described as bright and bold and built around a theme. Y’all know we love our themed wreaths! Creating wreaths around a theme makes it so much easier to create pairings of ribbon, mesh, and florals. Then, all you need is a sign to tie it all together.

The biggest tip that we can offer when it comes to picking summer colors and patterns is to not be afraid to mix and match. I think so many of us are stuck in following certain rules such as:

• Don’t mix checks and stripes.
• Don’t combine horizontal this and diagonal that.

Let go of all those silly “rules” and be free, friends! Don’t limit your creative spirit.

Here are some of our favorite summer color palettes to use in all your summer seasonal projects.

Yellow, Black, and Turquoise 

This summer road trip-themed wreath has a mix of gingham, stripes, and Swiss dots. Yes, you can definitely mix these!

Bold & Bright Pink, Green, and Blue Summer Colors

We like to use pastels in the springtime to represent everything being new. But, when summer rolls around, those soft colors pop with crazy boldness. This flip-flop wreath is the perfect example of that! The pinks, blues, and greens remind me of popsicles and fireworks and the pool.
