One of the most common questions we get is “how do you mix and match ribbon colors and patterns?” We got you covered in this blog post How To Choose Ribbon Colors and Patterns For Your Project. To make it easier, we mixed and matched ribbons to create a few summer color ideas for your seasonal wreath projects.
There are a few themes that are perfect for the summer months, we’re sharing some of our favorite pairings.
Summer Color Ideas to Mix and Match Ribbons
Bright and bold best describe our summer color palette ideas. Y’all know we love our themed wreaths. It makes it so much easier to create ribbon, mesh, and floral pairings when you’ve got a sign to tie it all together.
Biggest tip we can offer is don’t be afraid to mix and match. I think so many of us are stuck in the don’t mix checks and stripes, or horizontal this and diagonal that. Be free, friends! You’re creative spirit shouldn’t be limited
Yellow, Black, and Turquoise
This summer road trip themed wreath has a mix of gingham, stripes, and Swiss dots. Yes, you can definitely mix these!
This design pulls together yellow, turquoise, and green for the bright summer theme.
Bold & Bright Pinks, Greens, and Blues
We’re used to pastels during spring, so when summer rolls around those soft colors pop with crazy boldness. This flip flop wreath is the perfect example of that. The pinks, blues, and greens remind me of popsicles.
Red, Black, and Yellow
The stuffed ladybug wreath we shared a week ago pairs red, black, and white, with a yellow accent color. This deco mesh wreath pops with color mixing checks, ladybug prints, and dots! Don’t be scared to mix and match, friends.
